The CVR is the UK's largest grouping of human and veterinary virologists. Its mission is to carry out multidisciplinary research on viruses and viral diseases of human and animals, and to translate the knowledge gained for the improvement of human and animal health. The CVR has excellent facilities for conducting research in molecular biology and virology located in a purpose-built research building at the Garscube campus of the University of Glasgow. The CVR is a core component of the School of Infection and Immunity within the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences at the University of Glasgow. We are currently looking to recruit for the following position.
WASHROOM ASSISTANT, Reference 192433
We are seeking to appoint a Washroom Assistant. The purpose of the job is to support the infrastructure of the CVR by being part of a small team supplying a sterilisation and wash-up service for research laboratories within the CVR (principally the Sir Michael Stoker Building and the Henry Wellcome Building), including monitoring and changing of nitrogen cylinders and dispensing of liquid nitrogen.
This post is full-time, 35 hours per week, 07:00 to 15:00 hours, Monday to Friday and is funded until 31 March 2027.
Salary will be on the Operational Grade, level 3 £24,685 - £25,249 per annum.
