- Works closely with local communities, local authorities, charities and NGOs, national and international professional organisations, governments and industry
- Acts as a neutral platform for progressive dialogue among key stakeholders, facilitating advancements towards timely implementation of sustainable energy solutions at multiple scales.

New skills centre will train next generation of nuclear experts
The University of Glasgow is set to lead a multidisciplinary new doctoral-level training centre to create the UK’s next generation of nuclear scientists and engineers. The Skills Centre for Advancing Nuclear Systems, or SCANS, is one of seven recipients of new Doctoral Focal Awards from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and the Ministry of Defence announced on Friday 13 March. -

University of Glasgow and RES to inspire future environmental scientists with S3
The University of Glasgow has teamed up with RES to offer the newly established course, which will introduce pupils to the world of professional environmental science, via hands-on outdoor learning. ‘EnviroLab Summer Experience: Careers for the Future’ takes place this July at the Scottish Centre for Ecology and the Natural Environment (SCENE). Funded by RES, the course will be delivered by the University of Glasgow, Crichton University Campus in Dumfries.
