Research interests
Field measurements of environmental radioactivity using airborne and ground based gamma spectrometry systems.
Applications for environmental process tracing, environmental monitoring and nuclear emergency response.
Expertise in detector calibration, validation and response modelling, and data analysis and presentation.
Current focus is on applications in Fukushima, in particular studies of remediation and forest systems.
Half-time project associate professor at the Institute of Environmental Radioactivity, Fukushima University.
Interests also include luminescence dating and associated dosimetry.
